Padar Island is a hidden gem in the heart of Indonesia’s Komodo National Park. Escape the hustle and bustle to experience the raw, untouched splendor of this natural wonder. Hike to the island’s iconic viewpoints and be rewarded with panoramic vistas that will take your breath away. Whether you’re a nature lover, adventure seeker, or simply in need of some tranquility, Padar Island offers an unmatched island getaway that will leave you awestruck.

This Island is the third largest island after Komodo Island and Rinca Island which is in the Komodo National Park area. The area is approximately 173,300 hectares. Padar Island is closer to Rinca Island and the two islands are separated by the Lintah Strait.

This Island has a steep topography, with volcanic mountains in the sea and hills facing a very deep sea bay. This island has a dry climate with bushes and grassland trees so that you can see a very wide expanse of savanna.

Different from Komodo Island, this Island is not inhabited by Komodo dragons because there is no longer a food chain. But there are still several reptiles that inhabit Padar Island and are still breeding today. Some types of reptiles are golden ring snakes, monitor lizards, geckos and green snakes.
